1 hr 15 min Recorded Training Available On Demand
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is an intense emotional response to perceived rejection or criticism, commonly experienced by individuals with ADHD. While not an official diagnosis, it’s a term often used by clients and clinicians to describe a very real experience. We’ll explore what RSD is and how it presents.
Explore considerations for differentiation from anxiety and mood disorders. We’ll also examine its impact on functioning and relationships, and outline a neurodiversity-affirming clinical approach for supporting clients who navigate this form of emotional sensitivity.
This 1 hour 15 minute training is presented by a clinician with lived experience of RSD and ADHD and is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Participants will receive:
-Summary of training information with additional resources and references
-Sample neurodiversity affirming treatment goals , objectives and interventions related to RSD
-Training Slides
-Downloadable RSD Info Sheet that may be shared with clients
