CE Hours 8

About this course

Currently, most mental health professionals receive little education on adult ADHD; this training aims to fill that knowledge gap. Bobbi-Jo Molokken, LISW, CCTP, ADHD-CCSP introduces participants to the neurodiversity paradigm and the fundamentals of neurodiversity-affirming affirming approach. Bobbi-Jo was diagnosed with ADHD herself as an adult and is the parent of ADHD children. She currently works as a psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in adult ADHD and trauma and an ADHD coach and educator. Bobbi-Jo has experience working with adults with ADHD across a variety of clinical settings. A Deep Dive into Adult ADHD explores the adult ADHD experience beyond the diagnostic criteria. The training is informed by current research, years of clinical experience working with adults with ADHD and lived experience. Varying presentations of ADHD and the intersections of ADHD with other identities will be presented. Executive functioning differences are at the core of most of presenting concerns that adults with ADHD bring to therapy. Each executive functioning skill will be analyzed along with strategies to support clients with any executive functioning challenges.
